The Great Mental Crisis - Land of Change revealed... End of Crisis

DISCLAIMER : I got really stressed up with no proper work to do when i composed the content for this post. The owner of the blog is certainly not responsible for the quality of writing as it was not reviewed even once before publish..

Life takes real big twists and turns when you least expect them to happen. It has been more than a year since i updated my blog now. This literally means that the blog has not been changed for more than a year. You can see that i have become mildly redundant after almost 3 years of IT Experience. However the same cannot be stated about my life and my mind. My mind has been changing on a weekly basis or sometimes even quicker than that. My mind is like these openSource frameworks in which i work on. They keep changing too frequently for no reason. Someone comes up with a new JAR file in some remote island of Java, everyone in the Java World will be crazy enough trying to use that same JAR file in every implementation task given to them. The solution approach will be modified in such a way that the JAR file however irrelevant to the context should be used while the code runs. This will be followed by a Business Justification as well. Such is the craziness in this world of IT. This being the case, there is more than just a few oppurtunities for you to enjoy this screwed up routine. Identifying all of them is the need of the hour. With wide spread global monotony and Very Large Scale Boredom (We will henceforth refer to this phenomena as VLSB until i get bored) contributing to the downward trend in Global Business Growth, Change has indeed been the only un-changed ingredient. Change is something like this.. Looking at a Flat screen monitor gave us pleasure few years back because it was some kind of an innovation that was a visual treat to watch but now even the laptops cannot suffice to give us that kind of visual delight. I still remember the days when we were working on our finaly year engineering project almost 3 years back. I had a Transcend 128 MB USB "Pen Drive" to carry all our creations (However stupid the stuffs could be!!) to the Review presentation hall. While most other teams walked in with CDs and some people bringing their CPUs to make the project presentation, me and my project mates walked in with this tiny thing that could be plugged in for instant external data access. Some of my friends felt that it was so cool to have that gadget.. But look at it now.. How silly does it sound!! Trust me.. These days, you cannot manage to get a Small Kid's attention on a brand new Acer laptop.. (You could do that with a Nintendo Wii though !!)..Atleast not by asking him to look at whats running on that heated LCD display.. If you could give him the laptop in a closed condition.. he would probably enjoy opening and closing the notebook PC over and again until it breaks.. You know wat.. i wish i could do that to everybody's laptop (with prior pemission of-course)!! The point i am trying to make here is... If you are totally lost in the world of computers without an option, please do remember, you still are lucky enough to be on the job. We hail from a country that endorses agriculture as its primary job.. but never encourages the needful.. Well.. when i am aware that i am too small to discuss about that, it is also a fact that i am able to atleast see if not feel the plight of a farmer when he is unable to grow his crops.. Of-course this was made possible only because of the over-powered Media today.. This being the case, i just wonder how easy it was for us to keep pace with the changing world just by doing the kind of daily tasks that we do.. No wonder there is a stereotypic opinion about all the IT people in India.. The common man sees all of us as rich people because of the ever increasing gap between the two wider classes..Well.. Am i deviating from the topic.. where is the end of the crisis then ?? Its right here.. In the human mind, which is essentially the most complex data structure anyone has ever known in this whole world.. Trust me. if you keep thinking about multiple things.. you will eventually start enjoying it.. If you restrict yourself to just yourself, then you are more than likely to be a victim of VLSB (Ahh !! I had to use my jargon). The Internet can be so effectively used.. The other fact about computers and internet is that while we as IT professionals are almost dead tired with using computers and are no more fascinated by the opening page of Windows Vista, the others are just starting to grow their interests in it.. People are getting to use more and more internet these days.. There are Chinese farmers who use laptops to maintain inventories.. IT has really converged the whole world to one direction.. This is the time for us (IT guys) to rise up and make a difference in what we could do.. Eventually everyone is more than likely to develop an aversion to using computers in the long run.. So.. my way out of this mess will be the simplest possible.. It offers genuine happiness.. Think about the surprises, the various elements in this world.. the way your close ones turn you down sometimes for some reason.. (Its a surprise.. :)) Every change good or bad is a surprise in one way or the other.. you could call it shock sometimes but you can look at any shock as a surprise.. Can you deny that ?? WTC was rammed by two domestic flights.. This is a shock.. How the Taliban managed to breach the High Profile US National Security to execute their plan is a surprise.. !!! If you start seeing only the positive out of everything that happens.. there is no crisis in the mind.. So.. the mind however complex in structure has a very straight forward way to manage the complexity effeciently... It is all about thinking.. The way you think makes you what you are.. I know all these are redundant hearing but is it not worth mentioning all this again and again ?? It is all truly philosophical.. and it is all so true or atleast when you start believing it you have a bettered mind.. Thats right.. I have become more philosophical than i had ever imagined. For any complex issue in real life, i started giving philosophical answers that my friends dont talk to me about most topics.. LOLzz.. A philosopher's talk is always plain un-productive stuff.. Philosopher always assumes he is right though he is not sure about that.. the statements made by him will take a safe stance that it would to be too hard to disprove any of it.. All this talent is a direct outcome of prolonged exposure to VLSB. So.. how is that now ?? VLSB can make you a Socrates (Jus Kidding !!).. The point i am trying to make here is not just one.. I am making several points.. or rather trying to do so.. Widen your interests.. Width is preferrable to Depth.. If you focus on depth.. you will never have time to know about the Width.. You have a problem and you think of a solution and start working on it.. Let us assume that the chosen solution is not the best ideal way to resolve the issue, If you had focussed only on the depth (i.e) only on that solution you might have a tough time getting back from your path.. If you have the width well defined, there can be alternate solutions.. The moral here is.. Do not focus on any one thing and lose all others.. If that happens, you could be productive on one line but the gross output will be low.. On the other hand, if you do have the width well set, your gross output will always be above average.. just think about it.. you got yourself interested in several things.. you always have limited stress because you have other things to worry about in life.. the overall outcome is very good with this approach.. right now i switched to this mode.. In simpler words you can say it is always best to take things easy... and respond with a.. Oh Ok.. So wat next then ??
