HEIGHT OF GLOBALIZATION

do u know d concept of globalization?here it
is........
Question: What is the height of globalization?

Answer: Princess Diana's death

Question: How come?

Answer: An English princess with an Egyptian boyfriend
crashes in a French
tunnel, driving a German car with a Dutch engine,
driven by a Belgian who
was high on Scottish whiskey, followed closely by
Italian Paparazzi, on
Japanese motorcycles, Treated by an American doctor,
using Brazilian
medicines!

And this is sent to you by a Indian, using Bill Gates'
technology which he
stole from the Japanese. And you are probably reading
this on one of the
IBM clones that use Taiwanese-made chips, and Korean
made monitors,
assembled by Bangladeshi workers in a Singapore plant,
transported by
lorries driven by Pakistanis, hijacked by Indonesians
and finally sold to
you by Chinamen!

Message to the Anna University First batch B.Techs

Hi guys,

First of all , I would like to congratulate each one
of us on our 8
th sem results….
So here we are finally … we are officially engineers ,
I guess .. it
all seems so simple .. but was it really so?

As I was looking at my results , my memory
inadvertently took me
back to one JANUARY 2 2003, when our 3rd sem results
were out… 94 of
the 96 students in our department had arrears…but
that was just the
pretty picture.. some had even 3 to 4 arrears… who
would have
thought then that 2 ½ years, 5 semesters, campus
placements ,
GRE's and CAT's later we would be where we are now..
I , for one ,
did'nt think so…

Getting through would'nt seem that big an achievement…
hundreds of
batches have done it before and hundreds will in the
future.. but
ours was something special… the anna university
syllabus was imposed
on us when we were least ready for it.. we were in
jist `sacrificial
lambs'… but we endured the storm and came through …
and for that we
definitely do deserve a pat on our backs

And now, we are all set to begin our own separate
journeys in
separate paths leading us to separate destinations..
but I am sure
the spirit of endurance that we developed during these
three years
would keep us in good stead through out our lives.. in
all its
fallacies , we do need to thank the anna university
for its one
lesson… not for those lessons of architecture or
communication or
encryption ( gosh, did we really study all that) , but
for this
lesson of endurance… as the old Chinese saying goes
"The glory in
life is not in never failing but in rising every time
u fail".. and
rise, we surely did…

May u all be successful and more importantly happy in
whatever u
do .. and I am sure we will … after all , aren't we
what history
will recall as the first batch of anna university
students..

Bye for now…

With Love, Soms
